Pinkie Mae & Company was started by Eddie Thrash in 1995 as a sound reinforcement company for independent artists. Later it evolved into a records and education company and then finally a multimedia production company.  His purpose has always been to support the independent artist.

It was named after his mother, Pinkie Mae Peterson, who died when he was 4 years old. He and his family lived on the southside of Chicago. After she died, his father, O.G. Thrash, moved all the brothers and sisters to her sister, Bannie Mae's farm in Marietta Georgia.
